In the picturesque countryside of Sicily, there is a lawyer by the name of Nino Iacono, whose passion transcends the intricacies of the lawyers’ world to embrace the hidden treasure of the forest – the Truffle fungi.
Born and raised in the picturesque town of Palermo, Nino's early aptitude for the legal profession became evident. He excelled academically and swiftly climbed the ranks as a respected lawyer. However, Nino's truffle journey commenced in 1985, in collaboration with a mycology professor at the Faculty of Agriculture of Palermo, as they analyzed his land to determine the potential for cultivating this unique fungi. Immersing himself in the intricacies of truffle culture and embracing the rich traditions of truffle hunting, Nino experienced an inexplicable connection and an insatiable curiosity that altered the course of his life.
This newfound passion transformed him from a mere observer and consumer of truffles into the Founder and CEO of the Truffle Cultivation Research Center in Sicily. Nino approached this challenge with unwavering determination, galvanizing fellow enthusiasts to establish a dedicated community of truffle hunters.
